On writing Hiring, Firing, and Discipline for Florida Employers
Farmer, who has been recognized in every edition of the Best Lawyers in America from 1983-2008, has a wealth of experience representing employers of varying sizes in diverse industries. Nevertheless, putting it all on paper provided a first-hand experience of the value of the manual.
“When putting a comprehensive, all-in-one resource guide together, you learn a lot. I ended up reviewing things I hadn’t looked at or even thought about in a long time. It was a significant undertaking, but I am satisfied with the final product and hope it will be as useful to others as it is to me.”
Farmer went on to say, “We are distributing copies of the book to all of our offices – it’s such a useful tool because it’s not just a statement of the law, but an analysis of what the law means to an employer in its day-to-day operations. And because there is a comprehensive index, you don’t have to read through it every time you have a specific question.”
